Protect your rug and floors from scratches, wear and spills

Finding the right pad for your rug isn’t always easy, as there are many variables: size, functionality, protection and longevity. We offer a variety of padding to protect the appearance of your rug and your floor. We select our pads based on quality and durability. If your rug has furniture on it, we recommend a synthetic jute pad or a synthetic jute pad w/ rubber backing. 

The synthetic jute pad is made of 100% recycled carpet fibers and compacted into a rug pad. It contains no chemicals or adhesives so it is safe for all floor types and is the least expensive method of protecting the condition of your rug or carpet.

If your rug or carpet is in an open space, typically without furniture, we recommend using a 100% natural rubber pad, known as a non-slip or non-skid pad. While this type of pad does not offer much protection to the rug, it stabilizes the carpet for your own safety.

If your area rug is on top of a wall-to-wall carpet, we recommend a no-move pad. This pad offers a two side of support which helps prevent moving, wrinkling or buckling.

We understand that handmade rugs are typically not exact sizes, so upon purchase we will custom trim your padding at no charge with respect to your rug’s unique size.
